Uganda Here We Come!!!

We are leaving for Uganda today. I can hardly believe that this time has come. After many hours of preparation, planning, and prayer, we are finally going. God is so good. He has been so good throughout the process and will continue to guide and lead us over these next few months in Uganda. I am so excited. I can hardly wait to jump on board with His work in this beautiful African country. We fly out today around 5:00 pm and will arrive to Restoration Gateway on Wed afternoon around 2:00 pm. I am sure that we will have some crazy travel stories and adventures. Pray for our safety as we travel across the world. Pray that God would protect us and guide us in every step of the journey. God is so at work. Not only is He at work in the country of Uganda, but in my heart as well.

With much love,

Macy

Uganda, here we come!

The time is finally here! Tomorrow afternoon we fly out of DFW headed to Heathrow, London and from there to Entebbe, Uganda! Even though it feels like the journey has already begun, we finally get to take a huge step forward. Please be praying for our travels over the next two days!

God is good!

Gilbert

I was looking through some pictures I had found from my trip to Restoration Gateway two years ago and came upon this picture. Next to the photo was a note that read "Gilbert: when you look at this please pray and believe with me that Gilbert will be healed completely! I have faith that he will no longer walk with his hands but that he will run to Restoration Gateway with full faith proclaiming the truth of the Gospel!!! Amen!"
I was so pumped in seeing this I had to share the story:
Two years ago we met Gilbert in a tiny village, he was fourteen years old and was crippled (as you can tell)......he moved around with his hands and would just drag his body from place to place. As a team we got together and talked with him and asked if we could pray for him...we did, but nothing immediate happened.
Later that night as I was lying in bed I felt very clearly that the Lord was giving me a vision. In this vision I saw two iron gates guarding the rode that leads to RG....I was staring at these gates from the inside when all of the sudden the gates voluntarily swung wide open and from a distance I saw a thin boy running towards RG screaming joyfully, praising the Lord Jesus! Once the boy got closer I saw that it was Gilbert, the boy we had seen only a few hours earlier that day!

In the remaining time we had that summer at RG, I never got to see this vision come to life. But the day Macy, Whitney and I had officially decided to go to Uganda for the next year, the Lord brought back this vision of Gilbert I had forgotten about for so long.

I had never hoped in a million years that I would have the opportunity to go back to RG...but now that I have, I am walking with expectancy for the Lord to do the miraculous! Restoration Gateway's mission is "preparing the way of the Lord"....and in doing that we want to be a people who walk out in and experience signs and wonders.
Believe with me for God to move powerfully like a mighty breath over the nation of Uganda.

Joel 2: 28-32
"And it shall come to pass afterwartd, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Praying for Restoration, Mb
